Striking Power

What do guys think are some effective ways to build striking power, one of course is strength training; qi gong, push ups, weights, stance (leg training for kicks and punches because Hung Ga strikes with the whole body). I know there is of course internal energy, but I beleive that takes a longer time to achieve, so lets stay external. I also know in Hung Ga we talk of taking what I call "superior angles" over the opponent when striking to generate max power, easier said than done though. Also there is linking and connecting to generate power. Any thoughts?

Shape and Structure

In Hasayfu, we have recently been exploring the shape (external) and structure (internal) of our stance(s). In building rooting and stability for these stances, what do you think the key to achieving this is? Stance training, qi qong, strength training (push ups etc.), understanding of the stance?

Kim Yeung Ma Stance

In Hasayfu we train in the Kim Yeung Ma stance alot, from my understanding to strengthen the legs and learn how to sink one's energy to the ground. As far as it's use in combat how and for what particular reasons would one use this stance? Would it be similar to the idea of the crane stance in Cantonese Hung Ga, the idea being in a confrontation in a crowded/small area and "locking down" in the crane stance to exchange strikes. Any other ideas with Kim Yeung Ma or even Squating stance? -Lil D
