Welcome to Lam Tang Kung Fu, located in West Columbia, SC. We are dedicated to teaching the Chinese Martial Arts of Hung Gar Kung Fu and Wu Style Tai Chi, and the ancient art of Qi Gong.

Lam Tang Shaolin Kung Fu Academy was established in 1985, in Columbia, South Carolina. It was, and has been South Carolina’s first Kung Fu school, offering traditional Kung Fu styles, such as: Cantonese Style Hung Ga, Ha Say Fu Hung Ga, and Tai-Chi-Chuan, Wu Style, Sun Style, and also offering Qi Gong (internal and external methods). The school’s name reflects the great respect and appreciation that Sifu Saleem has for his ancestral lineage going back to masters Lam Sai Wing and Tang Fong. The roots of Kung Fu date back to ancient traditional Shaolin arts, and Kung Fu means hard work. As an academy, many art forms can be learned here. Sifu Saleem endeavors to teach the martial arts in the same tradition as the great masters of the past, with the focus that kung fu must be earned, and cannot be given away.
